Privacy and cookies

This page explains data processing and measurement in Viral Booster. Updated September 18, 2026.

Accounts and projects

Your account uses Firebase Authentication. Account data, projects, transcripts, clips, and credits are used to provide the service. Workspace pages require authentication and are not part of the public sitemap.

Videos, transcription, and artificial intelligence

Companion prepares media and transcribes it on your computer. This does not mean the whole service is offline: the transcript and information needed for analysis are sent to the platform and the AI services used to suggest clips. Embedded video players may connect to their providers when loaded.

Optional Google Analytics measurement

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources, sign-up clicks, and feature use. Analytics loads only after you accept measurement. Refusing does not prevent you from using the product.

We do not include email, name, transcript, video title, or form contents in measurement events. Project identifiers and URL parameters are removed from navigation data. Google receives technical connection data and may store measurement cookies such as cookies with the _ga prefix. Ad personalization features are disabled.

You can change your choice with the “Cookie preferences” button. If you refuse after accepting, future collection stops; this does not automatically delete data already received by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy too. Google Privacy Policy.

Necessary storage

Session cookies keep you signed in. The browser may also keep your measurement preference and local data needed by the editor. These features are functional and separate from optional measurement.
